It was a peacefull night at Jackpot. No silly weather surprises or any other surprises for that matter. 06h30 rang the biological clock once again and we were whistling on the kettel again for the morning coffee. A little after 8am we were in our walking shoes and off to the wild side for a walk. Not so much like yesterdays where we were on the beach the whole walk, today we were only on the beach for about a 300m stint. Winding along the coastling with the rocks and thundering seas on the left and the fijnbos filled hill on the right. Somewhere we came across an old forlorn fishers cottage. some nets and crates still littered the broken windowed former abode.

Not much futher it was banana and water at a lookout point whilst wondering at the power of the Indian Ocean as sets of waves pounded the rocky shore. Big Mommas relentlessly thundering down and finally losing all the energy that they had gained in their journey against the rocks. How does the way back always seem to be so much shorter? Back home the last of the Chiabatta made its way into the toaster and was smothered in local honey. Delicious!

Into the costumes and off to the beach. Little lay down on the sand and a bit of soaking up some sunshine. Once we were a little too hot, we took to the ocean for a refreshing swim. Ingrid seems to love the water and I think that the salty sea does wonders for ones skin. Not too long in the African sun as it can burn you pretty quickly. Exercise, sun, sea is a recipe for and afternooner. I took the the bed downstairs and Ingy retired to the main room upstairs.

About an hour later I awoke and made the kettle whistle again. Load shedding (When the electricity company shuts off the power for a few hours) was going to be pretty often today. 05h00- 07h00 and then 11h00-15h30 and now again 19h00-21h30. It makes one plan ones day around it. Dishwasher, laundry, boiling the kettle. Thankfully Jackpot has a gas stove as well as the electric oven.

After a cuppa coffee we set off for the village for groceries. Pizza (Margherita) and a salad was on the menu. We also needed to get a bootle of fermented grape juice for later. Back at home we packed everything away and headed to the main beach because I wanted to body surf. The tide and waves were not going to make it easy for me, and I ended up not catching any real waves, but did get to work up the heart rate for a bit. There were 3 kiters doing their thing and the 1, a girl, was pretty damn good.

So there you are another day where the day seemed to take forever, the best kind of days! Pizza for dinner and I have been trolling the internet for some second hand kite surf stuff. My brother, who is probably one of the 1st kites in the world, has some gear here, but the pieces do not form a whole. 'n Boer maak een plan, we say in South Africa. I will make aplan and get something sorted out. no rush.

Tomorrow is the 1st work day for our daughter Bo at my practice back in Holland and shame, she phoned to run through a few things. Proud of you Bo! You can do dis! Funny thing is that I have let work go and not thought about it or much else for that matter, except for the immediate future and what Ingrid and I want to or feel the need to do. Perfect! So far so good in all respects!

I have been battling with VPN and to get some Dutch Tv, but my efforts have been thwarted. It should be easy, but TV is not really my thing. Perhaps just a little reminder of The Netherlands...

The wind is still doing it's thing as windfinder told us it would. Calm and gentle in the morning and a little rougher but not too serious in the afternoon and through the night. I guess the roof will creak again a bit tonight, much like my body this morning giving a little protest as Ingrid guided my through a mini Yoga session. A little warm up and the "Sun Salutation". Blimey I am stiffer than a plank (At least I can do the plank). I am curious to see how I progress through the coming months. Ingrid could be a very good Yoga teacher, so anyone wanting to visit our retreat, SIGN UP HERE!. I recommend the views, the surroundings, the weather, and the Yoga teacher (She is hot!).
