Up in the morning and off to school. Last night we went to bed pretty early and were also awake prety early. The wind was moderate and that we seem to be used to by now. No hunkering down in the bunker last night. Easterly wind this morning, so I was not keen to go and surf as the chance of blue bottles was high. Ingrid then went off along to Pilates. I had thought of perhaps having her drop me off with my board and pick me up after her lesson, but with the threat of blue bottles, I erred on the side of caution.

First things first. Yoga with the attractive teacher! Still stiff and doing it like a man, but at least I am doing it.  I then spent my time doing a bit of admin, paying some bills and checking the credit card and doing a bit of this and that around the house (not much to do when there is two of you) as lady was now at class. Ingrid was home before I had expected her. Not that she was home early, but time had just flown. Next on my agenda was to order a new Malibu board from Durban and I spent some time organizing the ins and outs of that. It is my birthday at the end of May afterall. Exciting!

What to do, what to do? Groceries and a coffee somewhere. I have to say that I was craving a bit of cake which is not usual for me. After the groceries we drove around in the old town and marvelled at the huge houses on the canals (Holiday houses for a good percentage of the owners). Rich people thus!  We settled on the new place as I had heard first hand from the owners husband that the choccolate mouse cake was to die for. Got to try that I thought. Coffee and cake for me and Ingrid had coffee and ordered a bite to eat.  Thorougly enjoyable, although there was a lot of cake. Only afterwards did I think that I could have left half and eaten it later. We chatted to the owner for a few minutes and I introduced Ingrid to her. Maybe it was an unconscious ploy on my side. We paddle on Firday evenings and the last 2 times people have brought a wine and a snack and I think that Ingrid might enjoy the type of people.

Funny thing is that she has noticed the rich bitch type and that is absolutely not her type of person. People who place status and who they know above being themselves and down to earth are not our type of people. We only need 3 % to be like us and search them out. We should be fine. Not everyone has to be ones friend.

The cake must have made me sleepy. Heehee. Apparently we both had a nap and after nap it was tea time and the um and ah of whether or not we were going to swim, or at least attempt a swim. We walked down to Kingy's beach and over the dune. Even with the beasterly easterly wind blowing it is still a sight to see once one gets to the top of the dune. We saw 1 blue bottle on the shore and I walked into the water to have a look. Nothing seemed to be in the water, so I decided to chance fate and go in. It was wonderful in the water and I waved Ingrid in as she was sceptical due to the blue bottle on shore. Smile once again on that face! On really feels rejuvenated once one comes out of the water. We had to let our towels out downwind to get the sand out of them.

After the necessary shower I began on the new puzzle that we had bought when we went for groceries. We had missed part of the shop the last time as this part was sort of cordoned off. We were in the shop because Ingrid was looking for a new book to read and we could buy one second hand. The public library would cost us R50 per annum (Year). This approximates to €2.50 for the whole year! Less than 1 cup of coffee back home. The library was closed on Mondays. Perhaps we can go there tomorrow to sign up.

I have had lamb chops in the ridge for a few days and tonight was the time to put those chops on the braai. We spoke to Fleur for about an hour and about 30 mintues later Bo was on the line and we had another long chat. This internet does make the world a small place indeed.  I think that without internet and that link to home and the kids, we might not be so at ease here.

Mom had left a message this afternoon that she had been to the Doctor and was going to see the specialist in 2 weeks time. She sounded fine. Brother also phone to says the he may come over this week as thursday is a public holiday here and he has friday off as well. We will play it by ear. One of the owners of Carbonology Sport also contacted us and he and his family will also be coming out for the long weekend.

It is our wedding anniversary this weekend and we may make a plan or two. Let's see what happens.
