Mix up!

Good morning PE. Good morning coffee. Good morning Brother and Ingrid!
We had a good nights sleep and this morning we had an appointment at Save a Pet with Mom. She had phoned them yesterday in our presence and made an appointment for 10h00. Off we go to Save a Pet in Dusty and are going to meet Mom there. Save a pet is about 25% distance back to Jackpot but on the old Pe to Jeffreys bay road, not along the highway.
10h05 we arrived and no sign of Mom's car. After 10 minutes I said that I would go in and have a look. Ingrid decided to go with me when the woman opened that gate and confirmed our appointment at 10h00. Still no Mom and she did not answer her phone. We decided to go and look at the dog that they had in mind for her. There were quite a lot of dogs there and 95% were what we would refer to as pavement specials. Jack was a lovely little dog, but we could not pull the trigger on this one. We took a few photos and went back to reception to fill in the forms for them to perhap better match a dog to what Mom was looking for.
The lady asked if we were going to chain the dog. I asked her to clarify as she looked at me a little wierdly when I said yes, we would. The lady in the brain archive went through synonyms and other meanings and I said, by chain you mean chain him to the wall, not use that choke chain that people walk their dogs with. Now that I say the word choke chain it sounds pretty horrible. NO CHAINING, only a leash.
I got an app from Mom. Where are you? What do you mean? We are at Save a pet. No, Mom was at the Animal Welfare closer to brother's house. She was going to come and join us. WTF? While we were waiting for Mom to arrive I went back to my apps and saw her app from late last night that she had sent a bit of cryptic message that I had interpreted that she was also thinking of going to the Animal Welfare, but would see us at 10h00. We sat in the car and waited for Mom and about 20 minutes later she came and parked next to us. A bit of a mix up she says. No matter we went to look at Jack and Mom immediately said no, this is not going to be the one. Over and out. They have Mom's details and requirements and will contact her if they get something that may suit her.
Ingrid and I got in the car and drove off in the direction of Jackpot also along the old road to the Country Kitchen which is a reataurant type place that Ingrid had been hinting for us to go to whenever we passed on our way out to Jackpot. Today we were going to go there. When we arrived it was the monthly market and there were thousands of people there. I was not in the mood for the crowds and we took the road back to PE to go somewhere else. We had our sights now set on Apron Strings out near seaview. Google maps would guides us.
We passed the Grass Roof restaurant and I joked to Ingrid, why do we not just stop here, because we will probably end up here anyhow? Our destination was only 6 km further. When we arrived at Apron Strings we went up a sort of overgrown road to arrive at an open grass parking space. The place is not as we remebered it 20 years ago and the resturant was set back under the trees. It looked a bit like a haunted house. Another man had parked his vehicle and I asked him where the restaurant was. He was pretty vague and said that his sister in law was having her party there and that was enough of a cue for me to say, OUT OF HERE! Back to Dusty and high tail it to Grass Roof where we have a good sit. I am into my new drink the rooibos cappuccino. Lekker!
After our late lunch we drove back to brother's house and did a bit of chatting to the family before the whole house went down for the Sunday afternoon recharge. We sat and watched Discovery channel type things on Youtube and had a bit of a chat and so. We decided instead of going out to eat to order take aways from the Asian restaurant and 30 minutes later we had picked up our order and had a lovely dinner around the table with chop sticks and some people used the spoon. This was also a great evening and we later took to the beds for the night. I was gone in 60 seconds and Ingrid got through a whole herd of sheep before slumber stroked her forehead.
